Best office plants
Every office deserves a bit of green. The problem is that most plants bought from a nursery or supermarket die within a month or two. Not because no one cares, but because they were the wrong choice for that space.
We do it differently.
Why plants don't last in offices
When someone buys a plant for the office, they usually pick what looks good in the store. But an office is not a store. It has different light, different humidity, an AC that runs all day, and windows that rarely open.
Cactus likes it dry. Monstera likes indirect light. The ZZ plant survives almost anything, but even it isn't immortal without the bare minimum of care.
The mistake isn't the plant. The mistake is the choice.
Which plants work in an office
These are our favorites: tough, decorative, and well-suited to office conditions.
ZZ plant (Zamioculcas)
Survives almost anything. Low light, infrequent watering, AC running all day. Ideal for offices with no windows or weak light.
Pothos (Epipremnum)
A trailing plant that can hang from a shelf or the ceiling. Grows fast, easy to propagate, very tough.
Sansevieria (snake plant)
Cleans the air and asks for almost nothing. Can go two weeks without water.
Fiddle leaf fig (Ficus lyrata)
Visually the strongest plant: large, elegant, great for receptions and hallways. Needs a bit more light.
Monstera
A classic. Looks great in photos and handles indirect light well. Medium care.
Dracaena
Tall, narrow, perfect for corners. Comes in several varieties; some tolerate low light.
Working with the Urbigrow team
Urbigrow helps companies bring plants into their workspace in a way that looks good, works well, and lasts. We pick the plants, set up the pots, green up offices and larger spaces, and handle regular monthly care.
The first step is simple. Email us photos of your space and a short note about what you need. Within 24 to 48 hours we get back to you with a plant suggestion, a pot style, and a rough price.
Why Urbigrow
We're not a flower shop or a nursery. Our focus is smart plant growing. That's what we do. On our team we have a landscape architect who knows which plants go where and combines aesthetics with what's practical.
We work with offices in Belgrade. We come, look, suggest, and deliver.
FAQ
Can we use pots we already have?
Yes. Bring them in or send photos with dimensions, and we'll check if they have drainage and if they're big enough for the plants we suggest.
What if I don't like the proposal visually?
Then we don't do it. We send the proposal before buying anything. If you don't like it, we change it or walk away. No charge for the consultation.
How long from agreement to setup?
Usually 7 to 10 days. That's how long we need to source plants in good condition (we don't take the first thing we see) and find a time that works for you. For urgent jobs, we can move faster on sourcing.
Do you only do offices, or homes and apartments too?
We do private spaces too. Same approach: we look at the light, the rhythm of life, and who's going to care for the plants. The price is usually lower because the scope is smaller.
What if we move, can we take the plants with us?
Yes. If you want, we come and move them ourselves and set them back up in the new space, at our relocation rate. The plants are yours; do what you like with them.
